Hello, I just wanted to ask: if "I'm sorry if you were offended" constitutes a bad apology because it sounds like one but deflects responsibility, is "I'm sorry that I've offended you" a better phrasing? I've tended to apologise a lot to people and now I'm worried that I may have phrased it in a douchey way without realising
