The Earth-Minbari war was caused by people being considerate to women. This viewpoint was put forward by Andrew Suffield in this post during a discussion on Debian IRC sexism.
Apparently men on IRC saying "show us your tits" is basically like having your spaceship gunports open as a sign of warrior respect.
