This page lists geek media that has a stated commitment to not portraying rape or sexualised violence.
Why choose media that doesn't portray sexual violence
Media that doesn't portray sexual violence isn't necessarily better or more feminist. Sexual violence is a lived experience of people, and reflecting and exploring it in media is far from inevitably wrong. Portrayals could have ethical, activist or artistic merit. They may also be by survivors, for survivors.
But many portrayals romanticise or glorify it, and whether or not they do, portrayals may trigger survivors. It can also be simply the case that the pervasive portrayal of sexual violence isn't something that someone is looking for in their media at a given time. This list is intended to serve as a resource for anyone who is looking for geek media without rape for whatever reason, and also to suggest to creators that there may be interest in such media.
