The Huston test was coined by Cate Huston on Twitter in August 2014. It is:
- … two women in tech speak to each other, in private, not about their desire to quit their job or the tech industry entirely.
This parallels the Bechdel test for media. The domain of the Huston test isn't specified, but it could be applied to conversations between women at technology workplaces or technology conferences.
