The Open Source Developers' Conference (OSDC) is annual Open Source Software conference. OSDC events have been successfully held in Australia, Taiwan, Israel and Malaysia. OSDC.fr is planned for October 2009.

The OSDC Wiki states:

The OSDC concept is open to any open source programming group around the world to help promote the sharing of knowledge and friendly interaction between open source programmers.

OSDC Australia

In Australia , OSDC has been held in a different city each year, much like Linux.conf.au. The first OSDC ever was held in Melbourne in 2004. Jacinta Richardson was involved with organising in 2004, 2006 and 2007. Amanda Penrose was involved in organising in 2006.

Incidents

  • OSDC Australia 2006 was the site of the Acme::Playmate talk which included sexual imagery and led to some controversy in the Australian open source community.
