Richard Dawkins is a very well-known biologist, science writer and atheist; he is one of the most prominent people in the atheism and skepticism community.
From a geek feminism perspective, he is known for his negative commentary on feminism and feminist activists in science and in atheism and skepticism, particularly on Twitter.

- July 2011: the "Dear Muslima" letter in response to Rebecca Watson's public discussion of the elevator Incident at World Atheist Convention. (The letter was originally published in comments on PZ Myers' blog Pharyngula. Myers has removed comments from the entry.)
- July 2012: Jason Thibeault documents a series of tweets by Dawkins and analyses them as making fun of the push for anti-harassment policies at skeptic events.
- August 2012: Veronica K. Berglyd Olsen documents Dawkins retweeting (and presumably endorsing) a statement by a woman atheist blogger that she'd never experienced harassment.
- September 2014: ".@mrgregariously Exactly. If you want to drive, don't get drunk. If you want to be in a position to testify & jail a man, don't get drunk." Twitter
- September 2014: tweets about "clickbait" and "bullying" blog posts for profit were interpreted by Adam Lee as aimed at feminist blogging
- November 2014: "Do not blame feminism for the pompous idiots whining about a Rosetta scientist's shirt. True feminism is bigger and better than that." Twitter, referring to Rosetta shirtgate.
