In early 2009 the Sydney Linux Users Group issued a call for nominations to their executive committee. One nominee was subsequently alleged to have made crude sexual remarks on a SLUG IRC channel, specifically pretending to pat a female channel member on the 'fanny' (in Australia, this word is ambiguous between buttocks and a woman's genital area).
