The Software Freedom Conservancy is a non-profit which supports and promotes free and open source software. It manages the Outreachy program, offering internships to women and other marginalised groups to help them get involved in free software, and supports projects including libbraille (for developing Braille displays) and Sugar Labs (developing free software for education). Karen Sandler is the Executive Director of the foundation, and Stormy Peters serves on its board.
