The "over-sensitive" hyperlink explains some of the reasons why. Additionally, trying to think (and talk) less about gender issues is a way of avoiding them, rather than facing them, and as such is counter-productive. It won't help to (try to) be "blind" to gender, when the problem is that we are not conscious enough of what it means to us and how it affects people's lives. Mdz 19:04, May 17, 2010 (UTC)
