"Hoss's slides are available online. The first one is the killer. Single JPG here (NSFW)." is in the Overview section, but the same image but sans NSFW warning has already been displayed on the page. This seems a silly way to do things... Elky 11:47, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Sexism Vs Mysogeny
- It could be dangerous to conflate sexism with mysogeny. To do so is to deprecate the definition and value of the mysogeny tag. Although it is difficult, if not impossible to mysogynistic without being sexist, it is certainly possible to be sexist without being mysogynistic. Although Hoss' presentation was clearly sexist, I (darkonc) don't see his actions as being clearly mysogynistic. He was dismissive of women's interests, but I don't see his actions as being contemptuous of them. Although he may have attracted a good bit of contempt towards himself, I don't see his talk as fostering contempt or hatred for women.
