Should we mention #notyourshield? It's a pretty major part of gamergate (you'll get it thrown at you almost immediately on twitter) but I'm not sure how to present it

Good idea, I added a section on the #notyourshield astroturfing hashtag. Monadic (talk) 17:00, October 5, 2014 (UTC)

This entire page is bullshit.  #gamergate is not a harassment campaing, it has never been a harassment campaign and it does not condone any form harassment.  You people know this, but you lie about it for purely policitcal reasons.  You should all be ashamed of yourselves, you are what makes modern feminsim look bad. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.228.222.86 (talkcontribs)

Problems with the article introduction

Usually on other wikis when I see an article about some continious actions, there is a short introduction briefly explaining what this article is about which is followed by a section describing events that lead up to, which in turn is followed by sections describing major events happening during the article topic. I think the first section (before contents) needs to be divided into proper introduction and the lead-up events (Background). Also this statement

In August 2014, men seeking to purge the video game industry of women began organizing a coordinated harassment and abuse campaign under the pretext of "ethics in video game journalism"

I don't see sources saying that the organizing started in August. Also why are organizers described as men?

You might be interested in reading our editorial guidelines, which describes the many ways in which the Geek Feminism Wiki intentionally diverges from the policies of other wikis you may be familiar with. In particular, we explicitly do not require citations. You are welcome to improve the article as long as you comply with the editorial guidelines. Monadic (talk) 10:02, April 13, 2015 (UTC)

IRC logs

This is an interesting read and hasn't been mentioned in the article. David Futrelle read the full IRC logs posted by Gamergate supporters and debunked their claims about them; a quick skim by me seems to confirm his statements. 99.240.156.249 23:00, April 30, 2015 (UTC)
