What about allies who ARE trying to score?
So what's it called when a man defending feminists is consciously motivated by a desire to impress and seduce women? That must happen some of the time, similar to the "Nice Guy Syndrome". Seahen (talk) 04:27, March 2, 2014 (UTC)
- I think this is rare but does happen, as when abusive men use feminism as a way to gain women's trust (Hugo Schwyzer is a famous example). There's already a suggestion on Meta:Brainstorm to write an article on this (see the point "Grooming and related behaviours, unfortunately including espousing feminism/ally-dom").
