This page has been a media wiki developed in the framework of a programme called the Institute of Gender and Technology coordinated by the NGO Tactical Tech between 2014 and 2018 and funded by the Swedish International Cooperation Agency. The Gender and Technology Institutes (GTI), which targeted women activists, human rights defenders and LGBTIQ people, took place in Germany, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Spain, Panama, Skri Lanka, Malaysia, Mexico and Uruguay. Developed in partnership with local and international organisations, each IGT has developed specific content and methodologies that address the risks, attacks and contexts faced by women activists in those regions. During these events, we have worked with women and transgender people who are land defenders, indigenous leaders, sexual and reproductive rights activists, artivists, lawyers, journalists, privacy and human rights defenders.
The contents (detailed activities of workshops and training on privacy and digital security, tutorials, HowTos and storytelling) have been created by IGT participants. Most of the contents have been created by the people who have facilitated the IGTs, you can read the credits here. The site is still hosted by the NGO Tactical tech (last visited 21/12/2020). All the contents of the wiki are under the Creative Commons-Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence.

The site is still hosted by the NGO Tactical tech (last visited 21/12/2020). But as the IGT programme was closed in 2018 we are not sure how long the NGO will keep this resource online.
