Back in the day, I (Skud) used to go through linkspams on the blog and make sure that the linked articles were also included on relevant pages of this wiki. I haven't done this for years. I've been thinking for ages that this would be a good thing for people to take on if they wanted an easy/intermittent wiki editing job. So I'm making this page to track it.
I was thinking what we could do is simply make a list of linkspams here in reverse date order. When someone has been through that linkspam and added the linkspam links to relevant articles on the wiki, strike it out using <strike>strikethrough</strike>.
Here's a list to start with:
- (add newer linkspams here)
Redefining Linkspam (10 February 2015)- Link Us Something Please (8 February 2015)
- Have Fun Linkspamming The Castle! (3 February 2015)
- (add older linkspams here)
Ask for help/suggestions
Not sure what to do with a given link? Post below and someone may be able to help.

Help, I don't know what to do with this link! Where should it go on the wiki? --Skud (talk) 23:20, February 10, 2015 (UTC)
I just had a first shot at the linkspam for Feb 10th 2015. I managed to add most of the links to the wiki, which involved creating a few new pages including Kameron Hurley, TechCrunch, STEM education and Adam Baldwin. The links I couldn't find a place for were:
- [%22funny%22%2C%22department__id%22%3A{%22%24lte%22%3A25}}%2C%22aesthetic%22%3A{%22x%22%3A%22WordsPerMillion%22%2C%22y%22%3A%22department%22%2C%22color%22%3A%22gender%22}%2C%22counttype%22%3A[%22WordCount%22%2C%22TotalWords%22]%2C%22groups%22%3A[%22unigram%22]} Gendered language in teacher reviews] (no idea where to put this)
- worst inclusivity policy ever (do we have a hall of shame?)
- Silicon valley sexism (seems so general, where to put it?)
This seems like a really doable activity but it does take a bit of time to go through each one and it does take some understanding of what's already on the wiki. I imagine as we backfill, we'll need to create fewer new pages. --Skud (talk) 02:54, March 31, 2015 (UTC)
