there was controversy in the Python community over the names of two modules in its repository: "pantyshot" and "upskirt".

After further investigation it was revealed that the author of "upskirt" was a female coder whose first language wasn't English. She had been advised that "upskirt" was an appropriate name.

The experience, she wrote, made her reluctant to be involved with open source coding in future.

The author of "pantyshot" changed the name of his module to the name of an underage female anime character.
