Ugh, I was one of those silencing commenters in the example. Not cool, I know. I just realized and followed up with an apology. This page is important because it alerted me to apologize and try to fix the harm I caused. In reflection of my experience, I also added the "Shaming and Privilege" section just now, but please feel free to make corrections as this is an area where I clearly need to listen and learn.
